The 15th UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook is scheduled to be held in Guilin, China in a hybrid format from 15-17 October 2021 under the theme of "Tourism and Rural Development".
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has once again brought leaders from across the sector together for high-level talks aimed at strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors. The 42nd Plenary Session of the United Nations specialized agency’s Affiliate Members focused both on immediate priorities for tourism’s vital restart and on the longer-term task of ensuring the sector continues to be a key pillar of sustainable development.
The Global Centre for Tourism Education and Training of the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) will organize the 10th Training Programme virtually on “Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism and Reviving Tourism” in collaboration with UNWTO on December 1, 3, 9 and 11, 2020.

The Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has paid a first visit to an African Member State since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The three-day official visit to Namibia reaffirms UNWTO’s commitment to the continent and featured a series of high-level talks aimed at strengthening existing partnerships and looking to a sustainable, resilient future.
The 14th UNWTO Asia/Pacific Executive Training Programme on Tourism Policy and Strategy organized by UNWTO will be held online for the first time from 15 - 17 December 2020.
