UN Tourism—the specialized United Nations agency dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism—recognizes the private sector as a key partner in advancing its mission. As the only UN agency that includes private sector members in its governance structure, UN Tourism fosters collaboration between tourism public and private entities to address shared challenges and opportunities in the industry.
With an international network of 500 entities—including for-profit companies, universities, destinations, associations, and NGOs—the Affiliate Membership provides a unique platform for engagement, dialogue, and collective action. This international network facilitates knowledge exchange, strengthens synergies among key tourism stakeholders, and contributes to the UN Tourism’s mission while advancing the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
