Turkish Tourism Investors Association was established in 1988 by the principal tourism investors in Turkey. Turkish Tourism Investors Association is a private non-governmental initiative whose main objective is to bring together entrepreneurs investing in the tourism sector and provide assistance in their problems and future plans. Turkish Tourism Investors Association membership covers the whole value chain in tourism from high end accommodation facilities to airlines, airports, marinas and cruise ports, mixed use projects, recreation gacilities, golf courses as well as large scale travel agencies and tour operators. The total investment portfolio of Turkish Tourism Investors Association members around US$ 50 billion representing 2/3 of the private investments in tourism in Turkey.

Turkish Tourism Investors Association members have constructed and been operating several touristic facilities in various countries mainly in CIS, Central Europe, Middle East and Balkan region.

One of Turkish Tourism Investors Association’s basic missions to assist and achieve collaboration between foreign investors interested in tourism investment and management in Turkey or in third world countries and their Turkish counterparts. In this context Turkish Tourism Investors Association functions as a reference institution and an investor gateway. In the international field, Turkish Tourism Investors Association has been a long standing member at the Affiliate Members Body of the World Tourism Organization. In 2018, Turkish Tourism Investors Association also joined European Hoteliers’ Association, HOTREC as the second organization from Turkey and WTTC as its first association member.
